Biography

Jennet was born about 1720. Jennet Pock ... She passed away after 1794. Jennet is alleged to have been buried at Fishing Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, Chester, Chester County, South Carolina.[1]

Married: Jennet Pock married Leard Burns in Pennsylvania. "Brother in law Leard Burns" was nominated by his brother-in-law Yeoman Thomas Pock in his Will of August 30, 1747 to be the Guardian of his sister-in-law Ann Pock and her children.[2]

Acknowledgement of Full Satisfaction of RIghts in Husband's Estate:

By instrument dated February 20, 1794, Jennet Burns acknowledged full satisfaction of her right to dowry, betrothal, and personal property by the Will of her deceased husband from her son Laird Burns. Acknowledged in Chester County, South Carolina Court on June 29, 1794.[3]

Research Notes

FindAGrave has Jennet's death as May 22, 1756, but this is unlikely given that in 1794 she signed an acknowledgement of satisfaction of her widow's interest under her husband's Will.
