Alice Pollitt was born in Lancashire, England.

Alice was born in Preston, Lancashire, England, in 1898.^[1] She was the daughter of George Pollitt and Alice Richardson. She was baptized on July 20, 1898, in Preston, at All Saints.^[2] She was enumerated in the 1901 census ^[3] residing with her parents and three siblings in Preston. Her mother passed away in 1907, and her father remarried in 1909. She was enumerated in the 1911 census ^[4] residing with her father, step mother Gertrude, and five siblings in Preston. (Note...youngest sister Margaret appears to have been born the same year as mother's death). Alice stated she was twelve years old, and a "Weaver Tenter" (plus school).

No definitive record for Alice found post 1911.
