Martha was born in 1862. She was the daughter of Joseph Pollitt and Eliza Beswick. She passed away in 1932.

b Romiley, Cheshire. Daughter of Eliz. Beswick(1831). She[25, trimmer, abode 189 Wellington Rd., father Joseph, farmer] married Thomas Rowland(31, widower, blacksmith[b1856, Manchester], abode 53 Hempshaw Lane father, George Rowland, farmer) in 1888 at St. Thomas's, Stockport. Children: Marion(23.8.1888; baptised 23.9.1888 at St. George, Hyde), Agnes (5.9.1890; baptised 7.12.1890 at St. George, Hyde), Anna (1893; baptised 25.6.1893 at St. George, Hyde), Eunice Eyre (1896; baptised 13.12.1896 at St. Marks, Bredbury), Dorothy (1902; baptised 2.11.1902 at St Marks, Bredbury), Mary Pollitt Rowland (1905) - all born in Woodley, Hyde, Cheshire except Mary Pollitt b in Bredbury, Stockport. In 1891 they were at Hyde Road, Bredbury, Stockport, Thomas was a coachbuilder and Miriam[sic](2) and Agnes(0) were there. In 1901 they were in Bredbury, Thomas[44, Blacksmith], Martha Ann[39], Sarah B Rowlands[19, daughter from his first marriage], Marion[12], Agnes[10], Anna[8] and Eunice E[4]. In 1911 at 59, Croft St. Hyde, Cheshire. Parents and all children except Anna (died in Hyde in 1902) there. Thomas was carriage builder and Agnes a physical training instructress. Martha Ann died in Bredbury, Stockport in 1932
