James was born in 1919. James was born in Bow Island, Alberta, where his family emmigrated to in the early 1900's from Lancashire, England. James joined the RCMP for several years before he joined the Canadian Airforce during WW2 and was part of the crew of a Handley Page Halifax Bomber, he flew many missions over Germany during that time. My husband is in possession of his flight log, his medals and his Commission scroll. Jim as he liked to be called was a Sheriff for the city of Kelowna, B.C and his son Ken was his deputy. James would never speak of the days during the war, but he was a Legion member in good standing until he went into rest home suffering from alziemers.
