Biography

When Onis Glen Nothcutt Pool was born on June 16, 1914, in Lubbock, Texas, his father, Spencer, was 39 and his mother, Mary, was 38. He married Louis Juanita 'Nita' Turner on November 27, 1937, in Lubbock, Texas. He died on May 30, 2000, in Petersburg, Texas, at the age of 85, and was buried there.

Obituary: GLENN POOL PETERSBURG(Special) Services for Glenn Pool, 85, of Petersburg will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist church in Petersburg with Jessie Nave officiating.

Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetry under the direction of the Lemons Funeral Home.

He died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Hi Plains Nursing Home in Hale Center.

He was born Jun 16, 1914, in Becton. He married Juanita Turner on Nov. 27, 1937, in Lubbock. He graduated from Becton High School and retired fro farming in 1974. He served as city judge in Petersburg for nine years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg and taught Sunday school for many years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Herschel Pool of Charlotte, N.C., and Rich Pool of Hale Center; Two sisters, Bertie Bolen of Burleson and Anabell Stevens of Abernathy; and five grandchildren.
