Biography

Daniel was a member of Capt. John Barker’s company in the North Essex Regiment in 1710 as well as a member of Capt. Kimball’s company in 1725 and then quartermaster in 1738.[1]

Item I give to Dorothy my Wife one third part of all my Estate both Real & Personal for her use & Improvement During her Natural Life

Item I Give to my five Daughters [ ] Mehetabel wife of Col. Joseph Frye, Dorothy Wife of Isaac Robinson, Abigail Wife of Isaac Carlton, Priscilla Wife of Benjamin Gage & Sarah Wife of Timothy Stevens all my Houshold goods to be Equally Divided among them at my Wife’s Decease

Item I give to my grandson Namely Daniel Poor & Jonathan Poor Sons of my Son Jonathan Deceased to Each of them thirteen pounds six shillings & eight pence to be paid to them by my Executor at the end of two years after my decease

Item I give to my granddaughters Namely Hannah Poor & Betty Poor Daughters of my said Son Jonathan Decd to Each of them Six shillings to be paid to them by my Executor at my Decease

Item I give to my son Peter Poor, all my Estate both Real & Personal, in Andover aforesd, or Else where, all that I shall Died Seiz’d of, that I have not other wise Disposed of by this my Will of what name or Nature soever, wheresoever the same may be found he paying all my just Debts & funeral Charges & the Bequests mentioned in this my Will

Lastly I do hereby Constitute & appoint my son Peter afore Named the only & sole Executor of this my Will… the Ninth Day of March… one Thousand Seven Hundred & Sixty Nine…
