Biography

When John Porter was born on January 21, 1721, in Lebanon, Connecticut, his father, John, was 21 and his mother, Abigail, was 21. He married Phebe (Phoebe) English on October 28, 1747, in his hometown. They had 11 children in 20 years. He died on January 7, 1785, in Cornwallis Township, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, at the age of 63.
