Biography
He was the son of Rayford Porter and Eliza Pearman. He married the widow Florina Rebecca (Strupe) Shore in 1865[1][2]
The 1870 Forsyth Co. NC census shows him living with Florina, with a child Alfred E. Porter, age 16. This is actually Alfred Erastus Shore (1854-1918), Florina's son from her first marriage.
He is buried in Bethania Moravian God's Acre in Forsyth County NC. [3]
