Jane was born in 1821. She is the daughter of John Potter and Martha Edgar. She died about 1847. Willis remarried to Mary Jane Nelson in 1848. In 1850, Oregon and John M. Hamerick were on the census with the family, but obviously were born before Willis married Mary Jane Nelson. They must be children of Jane Potter.
