Hannah and her husband Stephen Miller... re her father South Carolina patriot Thomas Potts. [1]

Note: Following information located at: http://www.heritagepursuit.com/Potts/TP1.htm STEPHAN MILLER Sr.; b. 22 Nov. 1769 Georgetown SC, d. 25 May 1853 MARRIED his first cousin HANNAH REBECCA POTTS; d. 5 May 18512&10 Stephen Miller Sr. is listed as a head of family, owning sixty-five slaves, in the US Census for Williamsburg Co. in 1810. In 1820, he was listed as owning seventy-eight slaves. By 1811, Stephen was one of the wealthiest men in Williamsburg Co. Anyone who paid more that $10 in taxes was considered wealthy. Stephen Miller paid $27.22 in taxes. The Stephen Miller Sr. family moved to Chester County about 1829 and joined other members of the Potts family. During 1836 the family settled in Winston County, Mississippi. Stephen is buried in the Old Concord Cemetery, Winston County, Mississippi. Hannah Potts and Stephen Miller Sr. had grown up on neighboring plantations on the Black River in Georgetown District, South Carolina, and had married and reared their families there. After living for a few years in Chester Co., SC, they had made the arduous journey to MS and had become pioneers in a new section of the country. It is recorded in the minutes of Concord Baptist Church that Hannah Miller was received by letter into the church 5 Aug. 1837. Hannah is also mentioned in her brother John's will. Hannah is buried in the Old Concord Cemetery, Choctaw County, Mississippi. Her tombstone reads: Mrs. Hannah Miller, wife of Stephen Miller, Sr. Died May 5, 1851. Age 69 years, 1 mo. Daughter of Capt. Thomas Potts who commanded 5th Reg. S.C. during Revolution ================================================
