- Abigail Powers was born in 1790 in South Carolina as the first child of John Wesley Powers and Naomi Pennington. She had eight siblings, namely: Susan, Pennington, Holloway, Sarah, Polly "Mary", Jacob, John A, and Nathaniel. She died in 1837 in St Clair, Illinois, USA. When she was 23, she married Isaac Ford Sr., son of Daniel Ford and Phebe Camp, before 1813 in Missouri, USA.
