Biography

Adam de Poynings, the son of Adam de Poynings and Beatrice his wife are named in a charter of William third earl de Warenne dating from after 11 May 1138 confirming their gifts of property in Poynings, Pangdean and Balcombe to Lewes Priory.[1]
