Josephine Prevost was born in June, 1793 in St. Martin, Orleans Territory, United States, daughter of Joseph Collet Prevost (1756– ) and Henriette Borel (1769–<1826).^[1]

Josephine (21) married Louis Philippe Lange (24) (born in 1790 in Paris, France) son of Louis Theodore and Marcellite DE LA HAYE, on June 13, 1815 in Saint Martinville, St. Martin. ^[2]Their children were:

• Marie Anne Erma Lange (1817–1881)^[3]
• Joseph Dazincourt (1819-1863)^[4]
• Josephine Coralie (1821-1867)^[5]
• Joseph Numa (1832-1879)^[6]

Josephine died about 1856, aged 62.
