He married(1) Keziah Bowen sometime prior to 1814 in Calvert Co., Maryland. (source needed) FamilySearch Memory records indicate that they had seven children but only two lived to adulthood. He and his family moved to Belmont Co., Ohio about 1815.
About 1818, he returned to Maryland to assist others, Benjamin Mackall Sr and Rev John D Price, in moving their families to Ohio. It was mentioned that Rev John D Price was his only known relative; however, that relationship is yet to be determined.
