Place of birth varies. However tax rolls of father provides confirmation. Attended Hampton-Sydney College & Jefferson Medical school in PN. Resided in Charlotte Co., VA for a time per tax roll. Civil War: Cousin of Gen Sterling Price. Served in his regiment. Then assigned as detached surgeon in MS, TN, MO.[24 July 2015 Awaiting NARA copy of service record.]
Moved with family to Trenton, Gibson Co., TN ca 1860.
