Edmund was born about 1793. He was the son of Edward Price and Elizabeth Newhouse. A Sons of the American Revolution Membership Application #66592 claims Edmund's mother was Elizabeth Morris. He passed away before 9 August 1847 (Will proved in court). Note: the SAR application has an incorrect death date. [1]

Edmund Price Will
In the name of God Amen! I Edmund Price being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and in view of the uncertainty of Life do now make and hereby declare my last will and Testament as follows Viz: 1st After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses it is my desire that my Execution (sic) herein after mentioned collect all moneys or other dues belonging to my Estate and distribute the same as follows-- Of any personal property it is my desire that all of my daughters yet single shall have one cow when married. And of my Real Estate it is my desire that my five daughters Viz: Melvina, Nancy, Jane, Elizabeth and Lavisa have an equal division of all my lands South West of Merida Prices and of the farm on which I now live it is my desire that it shall be equally divided between my sons Merida, Vincent, Squire and daughters Sarah, Melinda. My cattle & horses Hogs etc and my household property furniture and money shall be for the use of Rebecka Jane my wife and it is my wish further that for the moyety (sic) I have willed to my son Merida of the farm on which I now live (over and above what I have deeded to him) that he shall take care of and raise the children yet at home with his Mother until they are of age then to be equally divided among my three youngest children by my Executor Merida Price. At a court held for Kanawha County at the Court House thereof on Monday the 9th day of August 1847—The last will and testament of Edmund Price deceased was presented in Court and proven (in part) by the oath of John Selby as subscribing witness thereto and continued for further proof And at a Court held as aforesaid on Monday the 13th day of September 1847—The said last will and testament of Edmund Price deceased was fully proven by the oath of Henry Stump subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded Teste A.
