Richard Prideaux has been confused with a cousin Richard Prideaux who married Mary Pascoe. The Richard Prideaux who married Mary Pascoe was baptized 7 Sept. 1777, daughter of Richard and Grace (Bennatts) Prideaux.

The Richard Prideaux of this profile, fourth son of Edmund Prideaux and Anne Carter, had a brother Summer Prideaux who witnessed Richard Prideau's 1800 marriage to Elizabeth Michell. Summer Prideaux appears to have married a relative of Elizabeth Michell: "Somer married Christian MICHELL, daughter of Joseph MICHELL and Christian DONITHORNE, on 27 May 1797 in Camborne, Cornwall."^[1]

Richard married Elizabeth Michell on 13 July 1800 at Camborne (per OPC). Summer Prideaux and William Michell were witnesses. Elizabeth Michell, daughter of William and Elizabeth Michell, was baptized 9 Apr. 1778 at Camborne (per OPC).
