According to her death record, Mary’s father was Joseph Probert and she was born 14 Apr 1850.

Research Notes
There are no records to support the assertion that she was born in Birmingham. Or that she is the daughter of Joseph Probert and Catherine Granger, who have an older daughter with the same name who was still alive in 1851. She does not appear with them in the 1851 census and there are no birth or christening records available to tie her to these parents.
