Mr. Samuel Prowse, an old resident of Eaglehawk, died at his residence in Church-street, last night, after a very brief illness, at the age of 60 years. On Wednesday night Mr. Prowse retired at 9.30, apparently in his usual state of health, but some time later his wife discovered that his breathing was labored. He was a native of Cornwall, a teacher and worker in connection with the Eaglehawk West Methodist church.
