Anne was born in 1839. She was the daughter of George Prowse and Sarah Neal.
1861 Canada East Census at 36 Union Avenue, N.E. side, Montreal, Quebec:[1]

Anna Sibella Prowse married Samuel Hopper Brown of Manhattan, New York on 3 Jun 1863 at Christ Anglican Church in Montreal.[2] Samuel and Annie had two children: Annie Sibella in 1864 and Samuel b. 11 Mar 1866 at NYC - d. 27 Jun 1942 at Seattle WA.
Annie S. Brown, age 27 b. 1839 Canada, passed away in 1866 at Manhattan, New York, USA. She is buried at Friends Cemetery Staten Island. The death record also states that she had lived in the USA for 3-1/2 years.[3] Anne is also listed on the family tombstone in Mont-Royal Cemetery, Montreal.[4]
