Charles was born in East Looe, Cornwall, England and was baptised on October 15, 1854 in the parish of Looe, Cornwall. He is the son of William Thomas Prynn and Mary Jane Pengelly. His father was a mariner.[1]
He married Mary Ann Yandell on August 20, 1882 in the parish church in Stoke Damerel, Devon, England. He was 28 years old, a fisherman, resided at Stonehouse and his father William was a fisherman. She was 24 years old, a spinster, resided at Richmond Walk and her father Charles was a labourer.[2]
