Biography
Stephen was born on 1 May 1863 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He was the son of Abraham Puryear and [[Harding-8851|Nancy Harding.[1][2]
Stephen married Nancy Jane Davis about 1891.[3]
They were the parents of eight children:
- Abraham Puryear
- James W Puryear
- Ethel L Puryear
- Lydia Puryear
- Maultie Puryear
- Nora Puryear
- Nancy J Puryear
- Stephen Hamilton Puryear
Stephen died on 13 October 1942 in Taylor County, Kentucky.[4]
