Dorn Pyke, daughter of Abraham B. and Ellen Pyke, was born in 1885 in Woollahra, New South Wales, Australia. [1]

In 1912 Dorn married Ernest Hymann in Waverley, NSW. [2] Their marriage was reported in The Hebrew Standard of Australasia (Sydney, NSW : 1895 - 1953), Fri 15 Mar 1912, Page 5 [3]

HYMANN — PYKE.
The marriage of Miss Dorn Pyke, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs. A. B. Pyke, "'Kinkora," Waverley, to Mr Ernest Hymann, son of Mr and Mrs R. Hymann, of Redfern, was celebrated on February 28th at the residence of the bride's parents. The ceremony took place on the lawn and was performed by Rabbi Cohen. The bride, who was given away by her parents, wore a very pretty gown of white palette, gracefully trimmed with silk embossed panels and deep fringe, the court train being finished with orange blossom and embossed insertion Her embroidered tulle veil was worn over a wreath of orange blossom, the shower bouquet of white roses and asters and tourmaline necklet being the gifts of the bridegroom. Misses Chloe and Carmen Pyke (sisters of bride) and Misses Myra and Minna Hymann (sisters of bridegroom) were bridesmaids, the former. wearing cream ninon over glace, and pearl embroideries and the latter white silk mousseline arranged with Maltese lace insertion, over glace. All wore pearl Juliet caps and carried shower bouquets, which, with gold brooches, were the gifts of the bridegroom. Little Miss Dorn Davis attended as train-bearer and was dressed in white tosca net over satin. She wore a wreath of field daises and her bouquet and gold bangle were presents from the bridegroom. Mr Clarence Pyke acted as best man and Mr Phillip Davis as groomsman. Mrs A. B. Pyke wore heliotrope palette with Oriental trimmings. Mrs R. Hymann wore black palette with beaded overdress. Mrs Rose Pyke. (grandmother of bride), wore black satin. The wedding breakfast was served by Baumann's in a large marquee on the lawn, which was beautifully decorated. A large number of handsome presents were received.

HYMANN.—April 14, at her residence, Natti, Anderson street, Bondi, Dorn, the dearly beloved wife of Ernest Hymann, and eldest daughter of A. B. Pyke, aged 27 years. Minyon at Kinkora, Waverley crescent, Waverley, 8 o'clock tonight only.

She was buried at Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney (Plot: Section 1 ROW 7; Plot number: 140). [6] [7]
