John Qualles served as a Flight Officer during World War II. He was one of the “Documented Original Tuskegee Airmen.” The Tuskegee Airmen were known for heroic combat service in support of Allied Forces in the European Theater. They served with the 332d Expeditionary Operations Group and the 477th Bombardment Group, both largely Black units of the United States Army Air Forces. [1]
John Proctor Qualles was born in 1918. He was the son of Paris Qualles and Hazel Proctor.
In 1947, he married Wilma Harris.[2]
He passed away in 2001 and is buried in Brigadier General William. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.[3]
