Robert Race was born in Harwood, County Durham, England.
Robert Race, son of George Race (bef.1663-bef.1713) and Margaret, possibly Margaret (Gibson) Race (1660-1702), was born at Harwood and was baptised on 5 December 1693 at St. Mary the Virgin, Middleton-in-Teesdale, Durham, England.[1][2]
Robert Race and Sarah Whitfield were married on 13 October 1725 at St Mary the Virgin, Middleton-In-Teesdale, County Durham, England.[3] Children from this marriage were:

- Margaret Race (1730-1738)
