Burke (1866), indicates that Devreux is an alias for the earl of Sussex' last name. Nicholason, et. al (1777), supports his assertion by stating that Thomas' only wife was Anne Devreux. As such, Anne Radcliffe and Anne Devreux may be the same person. (see husband's profile)
