Biography

Rose was born in 1878 and baptised 6 January 1878 Lymm, Cheshire, England the daughter of Henry Rance Coachman and Sarah Clarkson. ^[1][2]

In 1881 the family lived at Massey Green, Thelwall^[3]

Parents: Henry Rance (42, coachman), Sarah Rance (38 b Wetleyrocks, Staffordshire

Children: Thomas Rance (14 b Hartford), Fred Rance (8 b Lymm), Albert Rance (5 b Lymm), Rose Rance (3 b Thelwall) and Frank Rance (1 b Thelwall)

By 1891 the family had removed to the Coach House Cottage, The Grange, Thelwall. She is referred to here as Rosina. Henry aged 52, Annie 44 Fred 18, Rosina 13 and Frank 12.^[4]

In the 1901 census Rose (age 21) was living with her brother Thomas and his family at the White Lion Inn in Summerhill, Gwersyllt, Denbighshire, Wales. Thomas was the publican.^[5]

She died at the age of 73 (Actual birth date not considered) whilst living at Ferry Lane Thelwall and was buried 4 Dec 1952 All Saints Churchyard, Thelwall, Cheshire^{[7] [8]}
