Biography
William Rance was born in 1745 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England & baptised there 27th December 1745,[1][2] the son of John & Ann Rance.
William Rance & Mary Bracey both of the Parish, were married 8th April 1776 in the Parish Church of Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England after Banns (published 17th, 24th & 31st March 1776) by R: Bailey Curate. William & Mary both made their mark. Witnesses were Richard Russell & Mary Carle.[3][4][5]
William Rance died aged 73, in December 1818 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England & was laid to rest there 25th December 1818.[6]
