His M1, Frankey Byrd / Susanna Mayhew. There is confusion about her name, and her mother’s name. Needs to be sorted out before adding her to Wikitree. Her father AARON Mayhew-898. Her mother Nancy/Susanna Goulding/Gowing, ca. 1776 MD-1845 ? NC (she appears on 1850 census with dau. Frankey Rankin). She is not on Wikitree. My guess is mom and daughter were both named SUSANNA, and used nicknames, Nancy and Frankie. James Rankin’s wife appears on three of her kids’ death records as Frankey Byrd Mayhew; Susanna Mayhew; and Miss Cherry.
