Daniel E Ransom (James1) was born 8 August 1804 Elbridge, New York.[1]
He was married prior to 1828 to Rachel Ann Robinson. They lived in New York, probably in Cayuga County.
In 1840, Daniel was apparently living in Woodstock, Lenawee County, Michigan. Daniel's household contained one male aged 30 to 40 (Daniel), two females under five (Jane and Harriet), one female aged 5 to 10 (Phebe), one female aged 30 to 40 years (Rachel).[2] Next door to the Ransom's was the household of Nehemiah Hand,
The family moved to Algansee, Branch County in April of 1842. Daniel was killed by a falling tree in July 1842 at Algansee, Branch County, Michigan.
