Biography

August O. Raschke was born in 1854 son of August Kaschke and Anna Rosa Krüger.

He married Wilhelmina Miller on June 11, 1889 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the son of August Raschka and Anna Kruger, she was daughter of Christian Mieller and Christine Meier.[1]

Their first child was born on November 3, 1889 in Stuard Iowa. He was known as Otto.[2][3]

Halene Anna C Raschke was born Nov 1, 1890 in Iowa.[4]. She was known as Hallen in 1895.[5]

Wilhelmina Louise Caroline Raschke was born Jun 3, 1894 in Des Moines, Iowa.[6]. She was not present on the 1895 census in Iowa.[7]

Elsa A W Raschka was born Sept 1, 1892 also in Iowa.[8]. She was known as Elsie in 1895.[9]

Infant Tilly was found in the family census in 1895.[10]

They had five children born and 4 present on the 1895 census.[11]

Lily was born April 20, 1901.[12]

Rosetta Raschke was born October 1, 1904.[13]

Finally a boy was born, Herbert Raschke on November 17, 1907.[14]

In 1910 Auguste and Minnie and their eight children lived in Des Moines, Iowa.[15]

August died in 1931, aged 77.[16]
