Biography

Eliza Raymond was born 12 May 1804, the daughter of Jonathan Raymond and Elizabeth Robbins of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia^[1]

Circa 1830, Eliza married Ebenezer Corning the son of Jonathan Corning and Mary Foote of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia^[1], and had children, including:

1. Robbins Corning, who married Deborah Crosby, daughter of Samuel, and then married Sarah (Crosby) Goodwin, widow of William Goodwin on August 10, 1859
2. Phebe, born 1832, who married Charles Perry son of Rufus, and died in 1854^[2]
3. William Ebenezer Corning, born 1836, who died March 2, 1856 and is buried with his father
4. John Robbins Corning, born April 17, 1837, who married Eliza Jenkins daughter of William; and then married Margaret Jane Bingay, daughter of Sherriff John Bingay on August 23, 1865^[3]; and who died Sept 4, 1891
5. Benjamin, lost at sea, unmarried
6. George

Ebenezer Corning died July 29, 1855. Eliza remarried Isaiah Crosby, son of Lemuel Crosby.^{[4] [1]}

She appeared in the 1891 Census as a widow^[5], but not in the 1901, so this profile shows she died after 1891.
