Charles Milton Ream was a soldier during World War I. He enlisted on 14 December 1917 and was discharged 17 February 1919. He served with Cfr 1 Co 154th Depot Brigade. The 154th was located at Camp Meade, Maryland (Camp Mead was originally located at Middletown, Pennsylvania during the Spanish-American War), readying recruits for service in France during World War I. They were some sort of medical support unit as it was noted that they set up emergency infirmaries during the 1918 influenza epidemic. [1] They also received over 2,220 patients from several training battalions into their infirmaries between 30 September and 11 October, 1918. [2] That is a period of only 11 days.

Charles was the son of George and Emma (Reber) Ream of Reading, Pennsylvania. He was a carpenter by trade. [3]
