Andrew Ream was known as "The Drummer Boy" by his descendants. He served in this capacity during the American Revolution. [1] Later, he was a coppersmith.
He was born in Reamstown, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania and lived his entire life there. [2][3][4][5][6][7]
He made his will, 26 Sep 1842, in East Cocalico, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It was proved, Mar 1845. It lists wife Barbara; sons: Samuel, Andrew Jr, John, Peter, Charles REAM; daughters: Rebecca (Michael) RAIZOR, Nancy (Abraham) KINDIG, Sarah (Charles) SMITH, Sophia (John) KRAFT, Juliana (Emanuel) WICKLE; Execs: sons Andrew, Peter.[8]
Marriage
Andrew Ream married Barbara Schwartzwaller, 31 May 1782, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The marriage records names their parents as Abraham Ream and Christian Schwarzwaller.[9]
