In 1810 Thomas was living in Elk Lick, Somerset County, Pennsylvania with his wife, Barbara, a daughter and a son, both under ten years of age. [1] According to Denniston, Thomas was called "Uncle Tinker." His Stukey Ream Genealogy also states that Thomas married a girl of fifteen when he was seventy years old and that they may have had a son, Eli. [2] Thomas did have a son Eli, but he was the son of his first, and only wife, Barbara Haines. Thomas died intestate in 1840.
