Biography

The son of John Henry Redner (1846-) and Jennie Lennon (1845-), Edwin was born in Adrian in 1876.[1] His siblings included:

  1. Frank Redner (1873-)
  2. John Henry Redner, Jr. (1880-)

He married Vina Adelaide (Streeter) Stewart (1882-1940) in Adrian on April 6, 1899.[2] At first, Edwin and Vina lived with Edwin's parents and siblings in Adrian, as John worked as a day laborer.[3] Their daughter, Floy A. Redner, was born in 1902.[4][5] Edwin andVina divorced in 1911, the divorce decree being final on May 29, 1911.[6]

Edwin remarried, marrying Burl Turbett (1886-1961), the daughter of Samuel Oliver Turbett and and Anna Elizabeth Mohr, in Adrian on November 2, 1916.[7] Burl had been married previously to William H. Oliver, having divorced from him in 1913. Edwin and Burl made their home in Adrian, where Edwin worked as a weaver at a wire fence company.[8][9][10]

Edwin passed away at the age of 87[11] and is buried at Palmyra Village Cemetery in Palmyra, Michigan.[12] Edwin was a drum major in Adrian for 54 years.[13]
