Roberta Reid (Reed) was born in Gardner's Creek just outside of St. John New Brunswick in 1864. Robert Reed was her twin brother. Married at the home of Mrs. Robert Reid. She was short and a little plump and was always having fun. She loved practical jokes and Irene Galbraith remembers that she once had all the kids out putting salt on squirrels tails for good luck. Irene also recalls that her grandmother was a great cook. Roberta and George Henry lived on the ground floor and Stewart and Evelyn lived upstairs in the house that was at the foot of William and Gertie's hill. Although Roberta was 10 years older than George Henry, they died 8 weeks apart. Roberta is buried Lorneville Cemetery, and her grand daughter Irene Roberta Galbraith is named after her.
