Biography

Obituary - Mrs. Wanda Lee Belt, 70, of Corbin, the widow of Larry Belt, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 26, 2013 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was a daughter of the late Ed and Fannie Davidson Reed born on August 21, 1943 in Knox County.

Mrs. Belt was a former homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Sue Smith and Betty Ann Schulten; a brother, Ed Reed Jr.; a grandson, Luis Diaz and two brothers-in-law, Wilbur Gibson and Eugene Stokosa.

Survivors include seven children, three sisters, Katherine Gibson of East Bernstadt, Lillie Mae Stokosa of Thorp, WI and Brenda Lou McCracken and husband, Richard, of Johnsburg, IL; two brothers, James Reed Sr. and wife, Gwen, of Huntley, IL and Paul Reed and wife, Crystal, of Johnsburg, IL; 19 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; a host of nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Following cremation, no services are planned. Inurnment will be in the Reed-Childers Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.^[1]
