Biography

Sarah Letitia Rees 1886 to 1928 Sarah Letitia Rees was born in 1885 in the parish of Herbranston. She was the daughter of James Rees and Ann Davies, his wife. According to the people that knew Sarah. They would say that she would go a bit strange on a full moon, or so the rumour goes, it is more likely that the poor girl suffered from epileptic fits which was little understood in those days, and as such suffers were kept out of the public gaze as much as possible, or simply ridiculed. Sarah remained single throughout her life, and Sarah died in 1928, aged just 57 years old, and is buried at the family grave in, Thornton Cometary, near Milford Haven. Also in the family grave is her Brother Fred and her parents. Sarah can be found on the 1891, 1901 and the 1911 Herbranston census, living at home with her parents. As yet the 1921 census is not available, but I am pretty sure that she was a stay at home girl, and will be found at home with her parents, on that census. Written by Keith Rees 2016
