Biography

Samuel, born in 1874,[1] was the sixth of the nine children of Frederick Reeves and Eliza Guy.[2] He grew up in Lindsay, Ontario, where his father worked as a plasterer. Samuel married Daisy Courtemanche in 1897.[3] On the Canadian Census records for 1901, Samuel is listed as a railway employee living in Lindsay.[4]

He died in Toronto in 1906 of Guillain–Barré syndrome[5] and was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay, after a "very largely attended service" at St. Paul's.[6]
