Biography

Sylvia was born January 7, 1904 in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States. Her parents were Gustav Reich and Molly (Langer) Reich, both Austrian immigrants.^[1]

In 1910 Sylvia (shown as Silvia, age 6) lived at 872 Lorimer Street in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States with her father Gustav (age 33), mother Molly (age 30), and sisters Bertha (age 10) and Helen (age 2). Her father was a bartender.^[2]

In 1915, Sylvia (shown as Silvia, age 11) lived at 872 Lorimer Street in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States with her father Gustav (shown as Gustave, age 38), mother Molly (shown as Mollie, age 36), and sisters Bertha (age 15) and Helen (age 7).^[3]

In 1925, the family's last name was incorrectly shown as Reech. Sylvia (age 21) lived in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States with her mother Molly (shown as Mollie, age 43) and sister Helen (age 16).^[4]
