Cyril Edward Thomas Reid was born on 30 December 1908 at Ballengamah, New South Wales, Australia ^[1], the son of Percy Edward and Emily Mary Reid and the brother of three brothers. R J Reid., G Reid, and O C. Reid, and four sisters, Mrs. C. Halbisch, and May Reid, Emily Reid and Joan Reid.

He married Amy Isabella Brentnall on 16 May 1936 at Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia ^[2] and their children were Peter Reid and Pam Reid.

Cyril died on 3 November 1939 at Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia ^{[3] [4]} and was buried in the Wagga Wagga Monumental Cemetery, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia ^[5] and was buried in the Wagga Wagga Monumental Cemetery, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales^[6][7][8].

REID The death occurred yesterday morning In the Wagga Base Hospital, after an illness extending over a month, of Mr. Cyril Edward Thomas Reid, of Ganmurra, at the age of 30 years. Mr. Reid was well known and highly respected throughout the district, having been a very keen sportsman, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by a widow and two children. Peter and Pam; his parents. Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Reid, of Ganmurra; three brothers. Messrs. R. J., G., and O. C. Reid, of Ganmurra, and four sisters, Mrs. C. Halbisch, of Kockibitoo, and Misses May, Emily and Joan Reid, of Ganmurra. The funeral will take place this afternoon, the cortege moving from St. John's Church of England. Wagga, at 2.15 o'clock for the Wagga cemetery after a short service to start at 2 o'clock.

REID: The funeral of Mr. Cyril Edward Thomas Reid, of Ganmurra, whose death occurred on Friday morning in the Wagga Base Hospital, took place on Saturday afternoon. A very representative cortege moved from St. John's Church of England, Wagga, at 2.15 o'clock after a short service had been conducted by Rev. North, of Ganmain. The casket was carried from the church and at the graveside by Messrs. Ron, Geoff, and Oliver Reid (brothers). Jack Beer (cousin). W. Brentnall (brother-in-law), and C. Halbisch (brother-in-law), while the floral tray was in the care of Messrs. Noel and Roy Beer, K. Symons and E. Johnson. Interment took place in the Church of England portion of the Wagga cemetery, where the Rev. North again officiated. The chief mourners present were the bereaved widow (Mrs. A. Reid), Mr. and Mrs. P. Reid (parents), Misses May, Emily, and Joan Reid (sisters), Messrs Ron, Geoff, and Oliver Reid (brothers), Mr. C. Halbisch (brother-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. W. Brentnall (father-in-law and mother-in-law). Misses Doris and Thelma Brentnall (sisters-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. E. Beer (uncle and aunt), Messrs. Keith. Roy, Jack, Noel, and Gordon Beer and Miss Jean Beer (cousins). Mrs. C. Halbisch (Phyllis) was unable to be present. Other relatives and friends were present from Wagga, Ganmurra, Currawarnia, Ganmain, Mangain. Cottee. Ladysmith. Bull's Run Experiment Farm, Cowabbie, and Brushwood.
