Biography
Rowland was born in Bungonia, New South Wales in 1850, the seventh child of John Read and Mary Burridge.[1] Rowland Reid
In 1874 he married Ellen Guihot[2] They had eleven children between 1874 and 1893:
- Angus Edgar, born 1874;
- Francis Wallace, born 1877;
- Hector Robert, born 1879;
- Hylton Raitt Morris, born 1880;
- Giselle May Eveline, born 1882;
- Elenora Isabel, born 1884;
- Muriel Marceeda, born 1886;
- Verona Elsie, born 1887;
- Norman Prosper Hercules Wilfred, born 1889;
- Edna Ellen, born 1889;
- Oscar Rowland, born 1893.
Rowland died in Condobolin, New South Wales in 1922 at the age of 72.[3] He was buried in Condobolin Cemetery.[4][5]
