Johann Georg Reisig was one of many German families that immigrated from Germany to Denmark, where they resided for several years before ultimately moving to Russia.
Marriage Record between Johann Georg and First Wife Susanna Ursula Oberndoerfer
Johann Georg and Susanna Ursula had the following children:
Susanna Ursula passed away during the 1740s, and Johann Georg remarried Maria Barbara, born in 1722 by 1749. In 1750 the first of their children were born:
With the exception of daughter Eva Maria, who may have helped her step-mother care for her new siblings, none of Johann Georg's children with Susanna Ursula immigrated to Denmark.
It's unclear whether or not any of his children joined their step-siblings in Russia, but it seems highly unlikely since their father passed away in Denmark. They most likely had families of their own and were better established in their home villages. To be certain, one would have to check the census records for the other villages, especially Scherbakovka, where brothers Johann Jakob, Georg Bernard, and Johann Peter immigrated. I haven't located son Daniel in any records other than in The Immigration of German Colonists to Denmark and Their Subsequent Emigration to Russia in the Years 1759-1766. It's possible that he perished on the journey from Denmark to Russia. Johann Georg's second wife probably also traveled to Russia. If she survived, she most likely remarried since she was still relatively young, around 43-45.
Johann Georg Reissig died about two years before the official immigration to Russia began. Despite his death, several of his children went on to immigrate to Russia, ending up in Shcherbakovka, in the Province of Saratov near the Volga River.
His name is listed in his daughter Eva Maria's birth record.
Eva went on to marry Ludwig Kaiser, and the couple settled in the Colony of Grimm, Russia.
