Ortsfamilienbuch Jockgrim
Reiß, Johann Sebastian, born on March 25th, 1780 in Jockgrim, was a farmer. He died on December 28th, 1846 in Jockgrim (67 years). On February 10th, 1806 in Jockgrim, he married Anna Maria Weiler, who was born in approximately 1787 in Herxheim and died on September 7th, 1850 in Jockgrim.[1]
They had the following children:
- Anna Maria born on December 19th, 1806 and died on February 20th, 1821
- Maria Eva born on March 6th 1809
- Margaretha born on March 30th 1811
- Magdalena born on July 21st, 1813
- Johann Adam born on November 5th, 1814 <He deserted in 1837 as a member of the Inf. Reg. Herzog Wilhelm emigrated. He was given an arar debt of 6 fl., but had no assets. - A 23 year old, from Germany, Reiss J.A. is on the ship “Draper” from Bremen to Baltimore/Maryland emigrated and arrived there in December 1837>
- Franz Michael born on October 15th, 1816 and died on July 22nd 1824
- Daniel born on January 29th, 1819
- Jakob born on January 22nd, 1821
- Maria Elisabeth born on September 20th, 1822 and died on November 3rd, 1822
- Anna Maria born on August 24th, 1823
- Elisabeth born on April 29th, 1827 and died on February 26th, 1828
- Valentin born on April 29th, 1827 and died on February 28th, 1831
