She passed away on 29 Mar 2012. Katherine was survived by her husband and one son, as well as one sister and two brothers; she had been predeceased by one son, as well as her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Interment took place at Saint Pokrova Orthodox Church of Edwand Cemetery in Edwand, Alberta.
