Biography

John RETTIE was born at 28 Seamont Place in Aberdeen, Scotland on 14 Jun 1885.[1][2] He was the son of John Rettie and Helen Campbell.

When he was 5 years old, his mother Helen CAMPBELL died (28 Feb 1891).

In 1891, he was a Scholar in Aberdeen, Scotland.[3] He was 6 years old at that point and lived with his father and siblings at Seamount Place.

On 4 Nov 1900, he arrived in the USA at New York.[2]

In 1906, he lived at 8 Spaulding Street in Barre, Washington, Vermont, USA.[2]

On 29 Aug 1906, at Barre Municipal Court, John RETTIE became a naturalised American Citizen.[2]

In 1910, he worked as a Granite Cutter and lived as a lodger in the household of Frank WILSON in Barre, Washington, Vermont, USA.[4]

On 25 Oct 1911, aged 26, he died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Barre, Washington, Vermont, USA.[5]
