Biography

Alexander RETTIE was born in Tarves, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 2 Mar 1881.^[1] He was the son of Alexander RETTIE and Jane JOHNSTON.^[1]

In 1881, he lived with his parents and his Great-Aunt, Elizabeth MILNE, at Oldmill in Tarves, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.^[2]

On 20 Feb 1902, he arrived in the USA at the port of New York.^[3]

About 1905, he married Susie Agnes COYLE.

In 1909, he lived at 694 East 124th Street in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA and on 3 Dec 1909 became a naturalised U.S. citizen.^[3]

In 1910, he lived in Ward 26 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA together with his wife Susie (age 33), daughter Colette (age 4) and son Frank (age 0).^[4]
