She fled in about July 1687 from La Roque d'Antheron to Genève and from there to Holland.[1]
On 24 September 1687 she received monetary assistance of 21 florins as a refugee from the congregation in Geneva. She was accompanied by Pierre Jaubert.[1]
On 1 February 1688 she married Pierre Jaubert in the Waalse Church in Brielle in Holland. He was from La Motte d'Aigues and she from La Roque d'Antheron in Provence. They were to embark on the ship Berg China to Cabo de Goede Hoop.[2]
She and Pierre probably. She probably died during the voyage since she never arrived at the Cape.
Le 1 de Fevrier fut faite la benediction du mariage de pierre joubert, natif du lieu de la motte d'Aigues en provence, & de Susanne Reyne de la Roque, natif d'Antheron en provence, tous deux embarquez dans le vaisseau le mont de Sinai, faisant voile pour le Cap de Bonne Esperance sous de la conduite du capitaine Samuel van Groll, et cela apres leurs trois annonies publiées dans un même jour du consentement de mess:rs du ven: magistrat de cette ville.
Translation:
In the year 1688 the 1st of February, the blessing of the marriage of Pierre Joubert, native of La Motte d'Aigues in Provence, & Susanne Reyne de la Roque, native of Antheron in Provence, both embarked on the ship the Mont de Sinai (Berg China), sailing for the Cape of Good Hope under the conduct of Captain Samuel de Groll following three announcements published in the same day by the consent of the honorable magistrate of this city.
