Little has been discovered about Sarah Reynolds, and the only sources attached to her Family Search profile GHCR-4PF are from Ancestry.com which requires a paid subscription to access.

One source located is from a blog that is no longer active, but it is at this point better than nothing. It reads:

My Note: It is unknown if Sarah Reynolds was married to Burgher Houk prior to her marriage to Roelof Vandecar. But, is seems Roelof Vandecar is not the biological father, but rather a father who adopted John Huyck Van De Car when he married John's mother, Sarah Reynolds.

I did run into a source that said exactly that. But, I haven't been able to locate is since then, and I didn't seem to save it to any of the significant profiles. I am still looking for it.
